Ballroom Dancing For A Better U
Dancing With The Gloucester County Stars
About
Our charity has been chosen TWICE as one of the many fortunate charities to be chosen for Dancing With The Gloucester County Stars! Each year The Greater Woodbury Chamber of Commerce sponsors a local dance competition called "Dancing With The Gloucester County Stars"! Each dancer volunteers to learn how to dance and gets paired with a professional dancer from LaPierre Ballroom and Stardust Ballroom. Each dancer also has to chose their favorite local charity to raise money for while dancing and competing!
DWTGCS does a total of 3 tapings that are aired on live TV!!!
The first 2 are free and the finale is ticketed.
During the finale they crown : The technical Award, The Most Funds Raised Award, and The Mr./Ms. Congeniality Award! So far DWTGCS has raised OVER 2 MILLION DOLLARS for local charities in our community!

Always the gentleman and snazzy dresser, he knows how to make his students perform at their highest level and at the same time make the experience fun and exciting. His cheerful, humorous demeanor has lifted the spirits of those he comes in contact with. He is a patient, kind, and excellent choreographer.
He started his career as a dance instructor at Author Murray's in NJ and Philadelphia at the age of 19. Over the years he has worked in many dance studios but has spent the majority of his time teaching at Candlelight Dance Club in Cherry Hill, NJ. He has also been formally trained not only in ballroom dancing but also in jazz, ballet and tap and loves of all things Broadway.
Earlier in his career he worked for the musical theatre dance company, known as the Diane Hall dance company at Glassboro College, which is now known as Rowan University. He has performed live shows with Diane Hall Dance Company throughout NJ and the Catskills. Then moved into working in regional theatre starting at the Ritz theatre in Oaklyn, NJ; doing everything from building stages, supervising the costume department, and actually sewing costumes; to dancing and eventually directing & producing, and of course holding auditions.
Along with four other people from the Ritz, they re-opened the long- closed Westmont theatre in Westmont NJ as a live stage theatre. They basically inherited an empty shell! They applied and acquired non-profit status,
built the stage, installed 300 theater seats, & hired the staff. They had their grand opening in October 1992 with the Musical, Bobby.
